Vincent Mannelli Sr. started his upholstery career in New York City in 1948. He then opened his first furniture store in 1964 on Long Island, NY. Paying attention to detail and delivering excellent customer service was of the utmost importance. He then instilled these values in his son, Vincent Jr., Who became interested at a young age. In 1973, at twenty-two years old, Vincent cam into business and opened his own store in Coram, Long Island. A new generation brought new ideas. The bedding industry was expanding, and the public was becoming understandably confused. Now more than ever, listening to and educating the consumer was a top priority. As the business grew, so did the family. It was a natural progression then for Vincent’s daughter, Carrie, to continue the tradition. In April of 2000 she began working at the Coram store and became the third generation of Mannelli’s involved. Once again youth and enthusiasm paved the way for future growth.
